He’s being called Bruno the Brave – and for good reason. This amazing 7-year-old German Shepherd finally gets to go home soon after months of recovery from a terrible accident. In March 2014, the police dog was shot point-blank in the face when officers were trying to catch a suspect. Six weeks later, this hero is finally being adopted by his handling officer.

Bruno was rushed to emergency surgery following the accident, in which a bullet was removed from his lung. Today, Bruno is officially retired and will be growing old with his former police handler. Please SHARE this amazing dog’s story!
