11-year-old Reynan Dal-Anay rose to fame after his blind audition at this year’s The Voice Kids Philippines. In the video below, Reynan comes back with another powerhouse performance, this time belting out an awesome rendition of “Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone.” Reynan posted many videos online prior to joining the competition, but he was used to singing in his native language. Here, he was given the challenge to sing an English song and he passed it — not only with vocal skill, but with so much heart and conviction.
At :47, when the song switches over to “My chains are gone,” I had goosebumps everywhere. And just wait until you hear his final note! Are you kidding me?!
One by one, the judges are left speechless as they watch this tiny boy present his gigantic voice — but clearly, no one was as excited as judge Lea Salonga. Lea, who has been a Broadway star since 1989, was chosen by Reynan to be her coach throughout the season. Reynan has a true gift from above. When you see his family sitting proudly in their seats as the judges fawn over their son, I guarantee your heart will melt.
