Officer Alberto Galvan went beyond the call of duty this week when he became a hero for one tiny kitten.
The cop was traveling along Beltway 8 near Pasadena, TX when he heard loud crying coming from the side of the road. He pulled over to see if he could figure out what was making the upsetting noises.
With his dash cam rolling, he is seen discovering a little cat stuck between drain openings. It took him several attempts, but eventually he was able to grab the kitten and take it safely back to his cruiser.
It’s great to see cops going above and beyond the call of duty in unexpected ways — like the cop who risked his life to save a woman on the highway or the law enforcement officers who rewarded people for obeying the law.

The kitten was taken to the Pasadena Animal Shelter. The cat appears to be otherwise healthy and okay. If no one claims the kitten, it should be available for adoption soon.
