I‘m such a sucker for a great love song.
There’s nothing like that feeling when you hear a song that touches your heart and leaves you with so many emotions. For me, one of the big ones is “Can’t Help Falling In Love (With You)” by a man who always knew how to make the ladies melt: Mr. Elvis Presley.
The King of Rock N’ Roll first came out with it back in 1961 for his film Blue Hawaii, and since then it’s been covered by UB40, Bob Dylan, and just about everyone in between. No one can sing the classic love song like Elvis could, but you have to love how younger people are taking on the beautiful melody and making it their own.
The song recently had me in tears when it was featured in this 2-minute love story from Extra gum, and the same thing happened again when I heard the following version by 17-year-old Juliana Chahayed. This talented young woman was featured on American Idol back in 2013 and once she sits down in front of the camera with her guitar, it’s clear why she did so well.
This teen’s cover of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” gave me goosebumps. You have to heart this for yourself…
