Ahh, the ceremonial first dance! No wedding reception is complete without it and there are endless possibilities to make it a moment guests will never forget.
Here at LittleThings, we’re pretty big fans of couples who really take that special opportunity to take their first dance to the next level. While many couples go for a timeless classic like “Falling In Love With You” by Elvis Presley or a newer hit that bleeds romance like Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” more and more are adding a little flair to the traditional dance with some actual dance music.
What’s great about this next wedding dance is that it includes the very best of both worlds. It starts out sweet, and then it’s surprisingly sassy! In the following video, we see Steve Dang and his new bride Grace hit the dance floor for a romantic slow dance. The couple went with the song “Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine)” by Klangkarussell and tried to fake out their guests, making it seem like a slow song.
In an email to LittleThings, Steve wrote “Grace and I definitely wanted to have a fun wedding dance that incorporated elements of house music and dance.” Around 1:15, you’ll see exactly what he means; it couldn’t have been a better transition. These two are seriously adorable and I absolutely love the way Grace completely surprises us with a wardrobe change!
