The modern day flash mob dates back to the summer of 2003 when Bill Wasik, the current senior editor of Wired Magazine, began them as social experiments designed to bring people together in a spontaneous and playful manner. Fast forward to 2009, and what looks like a seemingly normal day in this Antwerp train station is about to turn into something very magical.

You can see the initial confusion in the crowd as “Do Re Mi” from “The Sound of Music” began being piped in through the speakers. Well, the situation only becomes more surreal the moment this father and daughter break out of character and break into dance. What happens next is a flashmob epic you’ll just have to watch over and over. Let us know what you thought of this surprise performance, and share it with your friends if it put a smile on your face.
