Imagine you’re working your fast-food job during the holidays. It’s not your favorite job, but you do it because like many Americans, well, you need to do it. Order after order comes in, and like you’re supposed to, you’re polite and kind, and as each car drives up, you hand the driver their order. Hour after hour, it’s the same thing. But then, for once, something else happens…
That was Youtuber Stuart Edge’s idea for his latest video. To give drive-thru workers a break from the tedium and the grind, he went around his community ambushing them with some good ol’ Christmas carols. I haven’t seen someone spread this much joy since TJ Smith went around singing “Build Me Up Buttercup.” But this isn’t just a ride-a-long sing-a-long either. Stuart pulls his car up and attached to it is an entire stage. It’s fully decorated with a fireplace, stockings, lights, and of course, the singing group Beyond Measure. The group sings a medley of, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
