During the blind auditions for The Voice Kids back in 2013, a young girl named Laura stole the show when she sang Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” After hearing just a few short notes, two of the judges immediately hit the buzzer to see who the wonderful voice belongs to. It’s rare to see judges react so quickly, so we knew this little girl was for real. What extraordinary talent!

What’s even more impressive about the performance is that Laura is German, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from her singing. Her ability to sing the tune without her accent seeping through is just remarkable, and is a testament to her abilities as a singer. As Laura wowed the judges, her proud mother watched from backstage with tears in her eyes. This is a moment that neither of them will ever forget.
