Recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the group took to the stage to serenade the crowd with their super hip rendition of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” This is the perfect performance to watch if you’re beginning to feel like regular holiday music is sounding played out.

Bringing the classic song to life with just the power of their five voices, Pentatonix creates a cool, rich version of the song.

Right around the 38 second mark, things get a bit of a remix. The group goes from just their smooth singing voices to more of a percussion sound when the member in the back comes in with a beat. Who knew a classic like this could sound so cool?

At 2 minutes and 10 seconds into this video, I realized that I was nodding my head along to the beat. I love the way they slow down their remix and establish a beat by stomping. Everything about this rendition makes the holidays seem that much cooler!
