Single dad James Moss is giving sincere thanks after strangers responded to his time of need in an unforgettable way.

We introduced you to Moss when he shared his heartwarming story with TV host Leon Logothetisduring a stop on his #GoBeKind tour. The loving father explained that he moved from New York City to Denver solely to give his son the upbringing he didn’t have. Unfortunately, the move left them homeless. But, Moss’ determination to get back on his feet and unparalleled love for his son quickly went viral.

Hours after we shared the story, the global community stepped in to help the duo. A Kansas woman named Kayla Heskett started a GoFundMe page that raised over $30,000 in less than a week. Many also shared kind words for Moss, including a donor who wrote, “You are a truly inspirational parent James  wishing you and your son a lifetime of joy and happiness.”

The support helped Moss move out of a homeless shelter. Moss, who is now working as a barber, recorded a thank-you video with his son on his lap.

“I never thought that a small act of kindness like that would just spark such a huge chain reaction,” he said. “I’m so thankful and so grateful for every one of you guys that put your prayers out for us and donated what you could.”

He added: “I want to thank Trivago, I want to thank LittleThings.com, and I want to thank Leon. You guys are awesome.”
