Charity is a 34-year-old mother of four boys, and she needed a makeover. Desperately. You see, Charity hasn’t cut her hair in five years, and her long locks pose a major problem as a hardworking mom. Her hair gets caught in and on everything, from doors to seat belts, and even school lunches aren’t safe from her strands.
While many people compliment her hair, it acts as a shield and prevents her from feeling like the strong, sexy woman she truly wants to be. She’s already petite, standing at just 4’11 — yet her hair is three feet long! When Charity takes her boys out in public, everyone assumes she’s their sister! So, when Charity’s sons said it was time to get rid of her hair, she finally decided to take the plunge.
“I see myself, and I don’t want to be this little girl,” she says, holding back the tears. “I look the same as I did when I was 18. I want people to look at me and say, ‘Yea that’s a woman.’”
