I always enjoy watching funny shows. Whenever I’m having a bad day, a good funny show or movie is the first thing I do to forget about my day. It’s a true statement that laughter is the best medicine. Doesn’t matter if you’re sad, sick, frustrated, humour can drastically improve your mood.
The Carol Burnett Show is one classic that continues to make people laugh, even though it’s been off the air for years. Many people consider Carol Burnett one of the most hilarious comedians of our time and her jokes can still make people roll in the floor with laughter.
When Carol would get together with another funny comedian, such as Tim Conway, it just made things that much more hilarious.
One video clip in particular has been resurrected and shared, showing Carol and Tim acting together. The results are out of this world funny!
In the clip, Tim and Carol are pretending to be a married couple. As is the usual for that time period, they are sleeping in separate beds. In the middle of the night, the phone rings and Tim answers it. Carol, who is a suspicious and paranoid woman in the clip, begins to worry that her husband is giving some strange person secret signals. She grows more and more concerned with each second that passes. Finally trying to discover what’s going on, she rolls over on her side and pretends to be asleep.
While we hate to admit it, it’s easy to be a suspicious partner at times. Watching Carol so easily pretend that she’s a jealous wife, we have to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all and yet realize that we have done the same thing ourselves.
The video clip just gets funnier the longer that it goes, giving us more reason to laugh. Watch it for yourself to see if you can make it through the clip without bursting out in laughter! Be careful watching it at work, because you might disrupt everyone in the building!
